Overview

Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP)  is a program that provides supplement assistance to low income households so they can obtain low cost nutritious meals. Benefits are provided thru Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT), which is used like a "debit" card.

Applications can be Submitted Online and phone interviews can be given. Questions can be asked at SNAP@oneidacountyny.gov or call the hotline at 315-798-5502.

Appointments for facilitated on-line applications are also available by contacting the following community based organizations (CBO's) for an appointment at one of their sites.  Mohawk Valley Community Action, Inc. (MVCAI) at (315) 624-0821 and the Central NY Food Bank at 1-866-839-7304. Once the on-line application is filed, you will receive an appointment for a telephone interview.

How to Apply

Call or come into the Utica or Rome office M-F, 8:30AM - 4:30PM. You will be given an application and an appointment.
