County Services Impacted by Global IT Outage Restored
The County services impacted by Friday’s global IT infrastructure outage have been restored.
The outage closed the Department of Motor Vehicles and County Clerk’s office due to New York State’s computer network being down. Both of those offices are now reopened. Oneida County DMV services are currently only available at Union Station in Utica, as the Rome office was damaged by last week’s tornado.
The State computer system issue also impacted the Oneida County Department of Family and Community Services. While it remained operational during the outage, some services had to utilize paper documentation. That is no longer the case.
