Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr. announced today that more than 4,000 COVID-19 home test kits will be given away for free on April 8 in Utica and Rome.
“At this stage in the pandemic, testing is essential to keep us on the road to normalcy,” Picente said. “Home test kits make it extremely easy to ensure you are not spreading the virus to your family, friends, co-workers or among school populations. Oneida County will continue to make sure these tools are available to everyone who needs them.”
The county’s giveaways will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 8, 2022 at the following locations:
- Griffiss International Airport Operations Building, 706 Hangar Road in Rome.
- Water Street in Utica. Vehicles should enter from Whitesboro Street by PJ Green, come down Division Street to Water Street and exit out Railroad Street in between Union Station and the old Children’s Museum.
Four test kits will be given out per car while supplies last.
