Picente Calls for Removal of Oneida County Board of Elections Commissioners

“Today, I have asked Governor Andrew Cuomo to remove the current Oneida County Board of Elections Commissioners,” said Oneida County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr. “The authority for their removal is vested in him alone. It is evident the way the 2020 election was run here in Oneida County was an abject failure. Especially as it pertains to the 22nd Congressional District. Voters were disenfranchised. The outcome of a congressional race was held in limbo for over three months, leaving this county and district without federal representation while we fight a global pandemic. I demand better from anyone who represents Oneida County.”
